No, no, I’m not shutting down AmbiGaming. I’m sure at least one of you thought that from the title.
I am, however, going to be out of commission for a short period of time.
Without going in to too much detail, I have been having some health problems and will be going for surgery in the next few weeks to correct it. Not surprisingly, I will probably not be online too much while all of that is going on. For those of you who may have noticed, I’ve been sort of quiet on social media and slow to respond to comments. Posts have gone up late. I haven’t been my usual efficient self. And my interest in pursuing any and all hobbies has taken a sharp nosedive.
There are a number of reasons for this, but unfortunately my health is the biggest one. With all of the hoops to jump through, phone calls to make, and doctors to see when planning this surgery, I’ve been so emotionally drained by the end of the day I have had very little energy to put toward non-essential projects, which, until AmbiGaming Corner pays all my bills, this is.
So. Here we are. I will be out of commission for all of August, and perhaps even part of September, although I am anticipating being well enough to start making a nuisance of myself by that point.
I am almost done front-loadingAugust with Monday “Metacognition” and Wednesday feature posts, and have even gone ahead with preparing posts for the first week of September. My patrons will still receive their respective goodies. Except for the lack of me lurking in the comments section and heckling people on Twitter, you’ll hardly notice I’m gone.
But, if you have a moment and the desire, don’t hesitate to drop me a comment or send me an email or a tweet during my hiatus. Even if I don’t get back to you right away, know that I’ve read and appreciated it, and smiled because you cared.
See you on the other side,
Athena

Don’t you ever shutdown AmbiGaming… I’d be devastated 😦 I love this website!
Seriously. All the best, my friend. There’s nothing worse than dealing with health issues and that can certainly zap all the energy for other things. Take care of yourself! I really hope everything goes well. I’m paradigm-shifting into a medic role and sending a few Curaga spells through this comment box. I hope it helps, eh! ⚡
