Spirits ‘n’ Sprites: The Good Doctor

A gamer walks into a bar…

…and asks for a Good Doctor.

Welcome, one and all, to Spirits ‘n’ Sprites, the (slightly temporary) bar being (temporarily) sponsored by AmbiGaming (temporarily). Once a month (temporarily), I’ll be concocting a drink based on a video game or character. The way this works is that I (or the person doing the request) has one core “element” or flavor, and the drink is built around that. So… this should make for some interesting drinks!

A few requests have already come in, but I wanted to start us off with what I call The Good Doctor.

Oh, Dr. Chakwas. It’s no secret that this very good doctor is a fan of the very good Serrice Ice Brandy. She works hard, sure, but also knows how to play hard, so today we’re mixing up something that’s cool like ice, and can cure what ails ya, just like the Normandy‘s good doctor.

Please do not attempt to make or partake in these drinks at home if you are underage in your country.

The Good Doctor
Core flavor: cool mint

Ingredients:
2 oz. sambuca
1 oz. creme de menthe
serve over ice

Smooth and powerful, with just enough mint to tingle a little, The Good Doctor is persuasive enough to keep anyone on bedrest for at least a few hours, or to relax on duty and return to the Galaxy Map with just a little wobble to their step. A tastful wobble. A wobble that says you’re going to save the galaxy.

Conclusion

This had a few different iterations before I settled on this, so I’m not sure if my throat going numb was from this particular drink or not, but I could see this being just what the doctor ordered after a hard day fighting geth (or kett, or whatever you’re fighting. *Hic*). It warms you up, slows you down, and makes you smile even after a hard day. No mixer here, because Dr. Chakwas is nothing if not a straight-shooter.

Just… just don’t drink a lot in rapid succession.
